The events unfolded so quickly... so quickly. Before, everything was simple. There was the Continent and across it, the Other Shore. Before, on the Other Shore, they took from the Continent the fruits of the earth. Before, the Other Shore prospered, the Continent survived.

Then came the Great Reversal... On the island, there is Majnoun, the Guide, who exploits Leïla, the diluted one. Everything is simple, orderly, balanced, until Simon crosses the sea and disrupts this established equilibrium. The events unfolded so quickly, Simon... so quickly...

A hellish triangle then begins between these three characters. This dystopian fable is a continuation of the work undertaken with The Choice of Souls: a humanistic vision of society where everyone can form their own opinion.

Before, the Continent and the Other Shore existed as distinct entities. The Other Shore would take from the Continent, while the Continent struggled to survive. This symbiotic, yet unequal, relationship maintained a delicate balance. However, the Great Reversal disrupted this equilibrium, leading to a new dynamic on the island.

On this island, Majnoun, the Guide, now exploits Leïla, the diluted one. The situation appears simple, orderly, and balanced, until Simon's arrival from across the sea. His presence upsets the established order, triggering a complex and tumultuous triangle between the three characters.

This dystopian fable is a continuation of the author's previous work, The Choice of Souls. It offers a humanistic vision of society, where each individual is encouraged to form their own perspective on the unfolding events. The rapid pace of the narrative and the interplay between the characters create a thought-provoking exploration of power, exploitation, and the fragility of societal structures.
